Puffing Through Fairyland was the title of of an article describing a journey on the Bishop's Castle Railway published by The Daily Mail in 1934

Documentary 52 minutes followed by the Bishop's Castle Railway Suite composed, directed and played by Nick Stevens (piano), with Angela Downing (viola), Christine Downing (clarinet), Sally Floyd (violin), Maria Tortoriello (flute) and Tim Weller (oboe).
Featuring the memories of Mr Allen, Mr Jack Bell, Mrs Florence Beaumond, Mrs Annie Coles, Mrs Cooper, Mrs Davies, Mrs Flossie Jarvis, Mr Jones, Mrs Lewis, Mr Ken Lucas, Mrs Eva Powell, Mr Summerfield and many others.

 "Gone to Earth Remembered and Revisited"

Filmed in the glorious Shropshire countryside by Powell and Pressburger in the summer of 1949 over 300 local people took part as extras. In 2005 The Lordshill Project recorded their memories.
The complete Lordshill project recordings on compact discs will be deposited in a local archive as a resource for the future."
This excellent double CD introduced by Richard Beaumond includes memories of local people, poetry, extracts from Michael Powell's biography "Million Dollar Movie" and much more. There is a wonderful performance of Gone to Earth set to verse by Val Littlehales and performed by her in Shropshire dialect.
The full title of the new CD is Gone to Earth Remembered and Revisited and it is on sale from The Lordshill Project c/o Terry Morton, 10 Ash Close, Craven Arms. SY7 9RP. The cost is £10, plus £1.50 postage and packing.
